Only 2 things that need changing are the pedals (Wellgo MG-1 Platform pedals) and seat (Sunlite cloud-9 gel).. same components on my Cannondale, both of which are on order!!

I have been wanting to post a picture of the cockpit on my 7.2 FX, which I am very happy with in its current state. I've got Nashbar trekking bars, SRAM Attack grip shifters, and Deore brake levers. I wrapped the bars with an old tube under the tape for padding. I made my own phone mount using a belt holster, a reflector mount, and Gorilla Glue.

I actually went in looking at the Rapid 2 but couldn't justify the extra cost. I grabbed the Escape 0, plus new pedals, seat, bar ends and computer for about $150 less then the Rapid 2 I went in looking at. Took out the Escape and was completely satisfied with the ride, handling and all around feel. I also like the slightly thread tires which come in handy around where I live. Took it on a 20 mile shake down / adjustment run the day it came home and am Very happy with my purchase

2nded and 3rded all comments on the escapes, it's what I test rode before buying my Seek. The only reason I got a Seek is for the discs. I just wish they had some intermediate models rather than just a 3 and a 0.

Very nice.. Are those the podium insulated bottles? How do you like them? I have the non insulated 24oz ones and love them, I was hesitant to try the insulated b/c they look a lot longer to me.

I ride to forget the pain in my life. I've had my heart broken by three different girls in my life. ALL of them were from Old Bridge, NJ. I thought I'd be safe from life's reminders on this board. Ugh! It's not your fault, it's just my cross to bear.

I think I should go ride

Maybe it's something in the water, luckily I married someone who wasn't from Old Bridge lol.. Riding is always great to clear the head, as long as you don't get to close to old Bridge that is

I traded my X for a '68 Mustang. Cheaper and better service.

Great bottles. They clear the top tube and stay put just fine.

Hi all,

I just bought a Hybrid bike after 15 years not riding.

It's a 2012 Scott Sub 40. Only accessories so far: tail light, passcode lock, trip computer.

As I have a rather large head, couldn't find a helmet that fits in LBS. Ordered an XL one from Amazon.

Rode it about 40 miles since purchasing it on Saturday. I wanted to ride it further but my ass hurts due to frickin tough saddle

Edit: Can you all see the photo?

Yep I can see it. Sorry to hear about your ass, I hope it feels better soon.
Try adjusting the angle a little and ensure your saddle bones are on the correct spot on the saddle. Remember, it's a saddle not a seat. With a saddle, your legs assist with weight distribution. If you need a seat, maybe you should go back to where you purchased the bike, and they'll usually swap for a "comfort seat" at no extra cost. (unless you go with a Brooks B66 etc, then you'll have to pay for the upgrade)

Enjoy your ride

Red on Black looks sweet!!

My seat preference (oddly enough).. Woman's Sunlite C-9 Gel (NON SUSPENSION). Larger then a stock saddle, but not huge... AND VERY Comfortable. I actually just ordered the same one for my new Escape.
