Just when I thought I was about done with my Kona I saw a something a few weeks ago and figured I had to try it. I been having to put my seat back as far as possible before but thanks to this forum I found the Velo Orange Grand Cru Seat Post. Now I can set it in the middle of the rails. I just got back from a little ride south of town from my parents place. Grapes are just starting to get ripe.

Hi, new to this forum (and biking). Here's my new Trek Navigator 3.0. Just added a bottle cage and a Cateye Strada. Having fun so far...

It's looking good Shofine I've bought from Velo Orange too they have some nice stuff. Has it been hot around your part of the country because all the pic's on this forum over there are so green. Over here in the summer months the place becomes just brown and dusty.

We were in a bit of a drought about a month ago but since July started it's been increasing afternoon showers. The temps here have been normal to me ...getting hot and humid as the day goes. I just arrived at the beach and can tell it's rained quite a bit. I hope it will let up now...hoping to get in some fishing through the weekend!

This will probably be the last upgrade on my bike for this year. Upgraded from the stock squishy Kona saddle to a Selle Italia C2 flow.

I'm disappointed with its 0-60mph but it rides well and looks good so it makes up for it

Snagged a used Litespeed Appalachian frame last weekend, built it up over the weekend to be an awesome hybrid! I'm a bigger rider, so I've got some 36 spoke wheels built with XT hubs and Sun Rhyno Lite rims...then decided on XT derailleurs and SLX cranks...the fork isn't disc ready, so I threw some v-brakes on the front and an Avid BB7 disc on the rear. Very satisfied with the ride!!

So after a couple of weeks on the Navigator, I realized that it was not the bike for me. Took it to LBS and they were nice enough to exchange it for a trek 7300. Here it is:

I'm planning to make a few changes and will post more pics after the mods.

I took my new scratch & dent boat bike out for it's 1st ride and loved it. Change out the pedals with my Kona's bear traps and put on the seat post rack that been on 5 bikes now. It may be ugly but it sure is comfy!

Thanks, I just did 7 miles and the seat is a little too comfy. I already text my wife to send me the seat that came with my Kona.

I have the 7100. The only difference I see if the shifters. I have the twist type. I'd prefer the one's you have but you don't discover those things until you own one.

Just like owning your first home....you never know what you really want until you experience it.

Yes I think the shifters are the major difference between the two models.

I changed a couple of things on my 7300; here are some new pics:

Here's the latest version. I had the old threaded fork replaced with a threadless fork with more rake, lowering the trail of the bike. I also put on narrower, low-rise handlebars. I haven't had the steerer tube cut yet so it looks a little funky.

I'm nearing the end of this project. I need a new front wheel, a new cassette and new brakes & levers. Once I get ready to swap out the crankset I'll get it powdercoated, probably black.

Here's what started it all up again, I used to ride bicycles all the time living in NAS Rota Spain as a child. I now have 4 bikes...it's so addicting!
