Updated my GT, added a new set of wheels (Got them from a donor bike, now I have a road wheel set and a gravel wheel set) and went to a threadless stem setup with new bars giving me an extra 8 inches of handlebar width.

Pre-2011 sounds about right. That style of combination brake/shift lever (with the small circular gear indicator window) is a pretty old style. I don't know your local market (location?), but I would estimate that to be a $100-200 bike depending on condition of cables, tires, etc.

Picked this up as my winter commuter. Its a Motobecane Cafe from Bikes Direct. Added fenders and a saddle bag. Also covered up the Logos with some reflective tape for better night time visibility.
