I've seen a few of them here. Other than the groovy light idea, I thought it was a bit boring. Popular here with the fashion set.

Of course, when it happens, it happens first in Japan!:thumb:
The idea of powering lights on solar energy only, is a nice gimmick. Alas, the lights disappoint in any other way. However, biggest problem with the bike is that there is only one frame size. That's too small for me. So, riding it gave my neck cramps. It rides alright, for an aluminium bike on wide slicks. But apart from the form factor, it is nothing special. |

Certainly one of the most beautiful bikes built in these days. And then theres Skeppshult famous Z bike. Check out the fabolous bikes of Skeppshult on www.skeppshult.se |

And it still keeps on raining

Posted similiar photos in C & V a while back. York County PA Rail Trail. Washout due to heavy rains in September/October. Weather here has been awful. RT authorities can't keep up with the damage. Just had a record October snowfall that snapped trees and tree limbs all over the area. I'm sure there are more downed trees along the trail. Rain forecast for tonight and 2 more days before the weekend.

MERCEDES BENZ BIKE! They make outstanding cars but this bike is a bit wayward, to me anyway. Or is it the owners rather un-orthodox styling that makes it different? |

I finally bought a bike jersey with hebrew on it. Some of the sponsors on it are in hebrew. It is a local Tel-Aviv cycling club/team's jersey, which I think is awesome. When I get back home to America, I will be sure to take some pictures of my wearing it.

The current Chinese made Ferrari bikes are no comparison to the Colnago version. Chinese Version http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...CA331156-1.jpg Colnago Version http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...n/DSC_0011.jpg EDIT: I found an old pic of the Porsche MTB that was at one of the LBS here awaiting repairs. The spinergy's on MTBs were a bit of a worry, but the rest of the bike I love. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y21...05Mar08005.jpg |
I really enjoy looking at the pictures of urban riders. So many interesting people and bicycles!
Here are the two bikes currently in my possession. Both 1995 Trek 730's. I bought the one on the left back in 1995 and recently got it back from my dad to retrofit but found it's too small. I found the one on the right on Craigslist last week. It's definately a keeper and I'll be starting the retrofit in the near future. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...8/IMG_0008.jpg Next week I'll take the 19" 730 back to my dad and get my 2007 Trek 7.2 FX back. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...8/IMG_0097.jpg |
I strongly disencourage those mountainbikes with spinergy carbon or low spoke wheels.
The aero and weight may be lower but those things are dangerous and not suited for offroad. |

Their rent-a-bike sharing system in tel aviv. It's called תל-אופן, pronounced tel-ophen, which means Tel (Aviv?) cycle. |

Good looking bikes and sounds like you're starting to get a bit of a collection. Will you use the parts off your original one for the new craigs list bike?
Here is the template for my retrofit (without the rack/basket: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...8/081908a1.jpg If I can manage to reduce myself from a super-clydesdale to simply a clydesdale, I may go with something like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...1a85c0e2_o.jpg |

I'll keep the two original bikes "as is", the 7.2 for me to ride as a "speedster" and the 730 for my dad to use in pulling my nephew around in a trailer. The Craigslist bike will get some new additions including handlebars (albatross, northroad, VO Tourist or VO Left Bank), shifters (cheap Riv-bought friction thumb shifters) and a new powdercoat job (color undecided). Those will happen before summer gets here. Long term, I'll probably switch to good shimano or Silver Shifter bar-ends, a Brooks saddle and even fatter tires. I would like to put a shiny silver crankset on there but the 16 year-old Alivio set is like new and it's not important enough to me to justify the expense.
