Specialized globe carmel 5
Hi All,
Been quite a while since last I posted and hope you are all keeping well. Just a quick question about the Specialized globe carmel 5, is it any good? and what colours does it come in? I was looking for the 26" version for a spot of light trail riding along the coastal sandy paths and much prefer it's riding position as I have a lower back complaint. Also like the plain paintjob as other specialized models tend to make nice opportunist pressies for tealeaves (thieves).
Any thoughts/ comments/ relevant jokes much appreciated.

I didn't think the Globe Carmels were still available. But I can recommend them. My family rented 4 of them on a trip to Whistler, BC last year and rode them all over, even up and down some mountain bike trails (okay, the easier ones). Really comfortable bikes. The experience got me back into cycling. I wanted something a bit faster, so I went with the Crosstrail, but the Carmel is a great bike. I think the fact that the rental places stock them attests to their durability and ease of use.

Great,
Thanks for that. Looks like it has not got top notch componentry, but as durable as to meet my needs at the minute. Will definitely be buying one and may upgrade in time. If anyone knows the available colours please let me know.
