I bought my first bike in almost 20 years shortly before joining Bike Forums. Since I had no idea what I wanted I settled on what I thought was a good compromise... a bike that was marketed as a "hybrid". Not knowing any better, I bought it from a big box store.

The bike has evolved over the few years that I've owned it to its present state. Eventually I'd like to upgrade the wheels and the drivetrain, but as it sits now it's just about perfect (IMHO)
