New Guy here
Hello Folks, 49 y/o new rider here from The Texas Gulf Coast.
Been wanting a good bike for many years, can't ride fast. did lots of talking to Bike Dealers and finally settled on a Raleigh Route 4.0. Hybrid
My last bike was in 1975, my how they have improved. I really like this bike, got about 30 miles on it so far. hopefully this will help me loose a few pounds and have fun at the same time. Looking forward to reading the post here on the Forum, and anything
that I can learn about the Raleigh bikes, and accessories that I may need
Dave

Howdy, as far as accessories go;
I would recommend as a minimum:
flat repair kit, spare tube, a frame
mounted pump.

Welcome onboard! The hybrid forum is the most vibrant sub-forum if you want to discuss actually riding. Most topics of biking can be found here. A friendly lot I would say!

Hello Dave,
Welcome to Bike Forums.
Winds and flats are all part of riding on The Gulf Coast.
Meet you at the top when you get in shape.

It is not that steep about 6%. The difficult part is negoiating the 70 MPH traffic on the Lamarque side.
