Ordered a Fuji Absolute 1.0 today:)

I have been wanting a hybrid to ride to work and do some local commuting. I don't work too far from home, about three miles.
I have a nice road bike (Bianci Infinito), but I did not want to dodge traffic and jump curbs, etc. with it. I also wanted a hybrid for this weekend.
My wife is running the Country Music Marathon in Nashville and I wanted to be able to ride around and cheer her and her friends on.
I test rode a Cannondale Quick 5 yesterday. I wanted something with a better component set. I did like the quickness of it. Also rode one of the Cannondale Mtn bikes. Definitely like the lightness and nimbleness of the hybrid.
Rode a Quick 3 this afternoon from REI. It was much better than the Quick 5.
Went to a LBS and they had a Fuji Absolute 3. Rode it for about 30" and really liked it. He is able to get an Absolute 1 for me. He will get it by Friday
and I'll be able to have it for the weekend.
Thanks for all the reviews and helpful hints on this forum.
I am pretty pumped.
Rick

I have one. A 2006 which was a little different. I love mine.

Cool! I wish mine was a 1.0 too. What year is the bike? Mines a 2010.

That's a great looking bike and looks like more of a road bike. Good choice!

Rode a Fuji Absolue on an organized tour last summer. Loved it. I'll bet you will, too.

Good looking set up. I ride both road and hybrid for exactly the same reasons you do.
