new grip shifters...

The grip-shifters on my 1992 Schwinn Crosscut have seen better days.

I'm looking for a set of shifters & grips, 3/7. OEM is a Shimano Exage 400 LX gear set, with the smooth-surfaced, un-numbered shifters...with a white thin-to-thick "status bar" indicator. If I can't find this type, I'm willing to agree to a numbered indicator system, but I really don't want any of those new-fangled models with digits in windows to tell you what gear you're in.

The SRAM MRX is a decent-looking offering, but maybe there are alternatives you know about and I don't.

Any recommendations?

THANKS!
