looking to upgrade my drivetrain
i have a 2012 giant roam 1. if i wanted to upgrade my drivetrain, what would my choices be?
this is what i currently have according to the giant webpage

I guess if your looking for super performance over the Acera group, anything from Deore on up the Shimano scale for "MTB" derailleurs would be a good choice. I had a SRAM X9 group on a recumbent I use to own and WOW, those shifted like BUTTER. If you want to go more "road" group, you'd have to "lose" the 11/34 cassette and from what I've looked at 28 tooth is the normal MAX cog, except on the 10 speed groups that go up to a 30 tooth. So far I really like my Shimano ACERA group on my Coda Sport, since I'm not into ultra-performance riding, I'll probably not spend the bucks to upgrade, LOL, well at least not till it "wears out",! BTW, I've heard that Avid BB7's are the "cat's meow" of cable disc brake systems, ymmv.
