Corratec
There seems very little written about this company inside these Forums. Is there a reason for this?
Anyone have experience with this brand?
They have a great looking range, could even say a large range compared to some manufacturers. Struggling to find reviews on their bikes though.
Any feedback welcome.
Cheers.

Because most of us have never heard of them. I don't think they're even sold in the US.

If there's a specific model then add it to the search bar.

Yes, I know they are German. I´ve seen their range on the website you mentioned, that´s why I was requesting info from people here in the forum.
I was looking for reviews inside this forum more than their own spiel.
Cheers.

Someone commented once that the quality level is almost the same these days in bikes. And I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of bikes are made by some of the same manufacturers. This is because the last time someone asked about getting a bike, when I decided to look at 26 inch wheel comfort bikes, I found nearly all of them I saw on many different sites like Trek, Giant, Cannondale, GT, etc. all had threaded headsets and ajustable stems.
I know I saw Corratec frames once on amazon but if you're looking for something German, there's also Ghost at mec.ca
Some German bikes are really cool because they have fenders, chainguards, dynamo lights and sometimes backracks. If I had my own bike company, that's what I'd want to produce. And I'd even produce them with metal friction shifters.

Corratec may have the company based in Germany but I'd be surprised if they were built there. Here in Japan they are just a run-of-the-mill bike. In "person" they aren't anything exotic. Not expensive at all over here.

lol, maybe that's because the Yen was so strong. Now you gonna pay. Haha. (for imports anyway)

It won't make so much difference because China / Taiwan is just a pollution cloud away from us. Many would be shocked to see how cheap some of the "exotic" brand bikes are here. There market for alloy Pinarellos and Colnagos (Giantagos) is quite strong here. Those alloy versions come with Tiagra and 105, so the cost of a complete bike is very reasonable. My guess they don't sell so well in the States, but once again, because they come from just over the pond to us here in Japan, price is down.

Corratec hybrids around where I ride are entry level, sort-of-LBS bikes. I see quite a few of them in commuting traffic. What little reviews I've seen or heard, they're OK for what they're sold for, but nothing fancy.
