I got a Raleigh C50 as a gift about a year and a half ago and recently moved to the city. I have begun riding more often the past few months and really know little to nothing about it. I'm not sure what year the frame is but nothing else is really an original piece. When I got the bike, the seat had already been replaced with a cushy commuter seat (and has since been swapped out--along with the bars, pedals and shifters). Can anyone tell me anything about this bike? Also curious if anyone has any insight into the origins/quality of my bike.

You'll be able to find more information if you look at the components--derailleurs, crankset, shifters--and find out what type they are. That way you can narrow down what year this is from. Or if you flip the bike over and look for a serial number at the bottom bracket.
Search Bikepedia if you can only go by the frame type and components.
