hey everyone,

so i am shopping around for my first "real" bike (see my intro post). basically, i want to do fitness rides for myself but still be able to cruise around with my young sons. the closest LBS to me is a KHS dealer and to be honest the bikes seem great and the vitamin line fits my needs.

admittedly the whole process is pretty intimidating. there doesn't seem to be as much info out there about KHS as there are with other brands so i am a little nervous.

two questions: are they a reputable quality brand? what bikes are most comparable to the Vitamin? trek FX?

FWIW, ended up getting a 2011 Vitamin B today. it actually has a few components that they now reserve for the C - carbon fork, alivio rear. chose it over the escape 2 and the sirrus.

with a ten mile ride under my belt today, it seems great.
