Ive having a tough time finding some, im looking for new light weight wheels for my bike

Road wheels wont fit the tyres i use, so i need hybrid ones, and MTB wheels are just too heavy.

does anyone know of any 26" light weight wheels or wheel sets on bike websites that i can buy

Most 26" prebuilt wheelsets are for MTB's,so your best bet would be to have some built for you. You could also keep an eye on eBay and CL. My Marins and Buzz are 26",so they are out there,you just need to do some digging.

I'd consider any mtb wheel that can accept 26x1.5 or smaller tires hybrid enough for me, what's the goal here?

Of course, like with everything in cycling, cost is inversely proportional to weight.
You're not going to get truly light and still strong wheels unless you drop a ton of money on them.

If I had a ton of money i would have just bought a new bike haha

Hybrid as usually called is a 700c wheel and mountain bike flat bars.. did you really want a mountain bike instead..?

I was just trying to make the point that something like "light wheels" isn't easy to get without paying heaps of cash.
I bought a second hand set of Easton Tempest II's for my TT bike and paid more for that second hand wheel set than many people in the hybrid forum have paid for their entire bike.
You get what you pay for ... and in cycling the lightness of components is an inverse square function to money.

I paid $170 for my 2008 Globe 2 years ago. Almost exactly the same for parts for my wheels I built over the winter. Sun rims M13 II's, cheap Shimano hubs & DT Swiss DB spokes.

I own 3 hybrids with 26" wheels,and have had several others. Nothing wrong with 26". Quicker handling and easier to find wide tires. Every shop in town has 1.5-2" tires. When I got my 700x42's for my old Crosstrail,I had to order them online.
