Choosing a hybrid
Am overseas and looking to get a hybrid bike for riding around town and through the parks (hard-pack pavement). I had a mountain bike (Bauer Express) here which was stolen, and have an older Sirrus Comp when I'm back in the US.
I'm looking at new and used bikes. The choices seem to be:
Jamis Coda Sport -- Comes highly recommended on the forum but the only issue is I can't find one where I'm at.
Trek 7.2fx -- Right now seems the top choice.
Scott Sportster P4 -- Found one used but not sure that I need the front suspension for the type of riding I would do, although it can be locked out. Bike seems to have good components but also is, I think, heavy.
Kona Dew -- Haven't had a chance to ride/research it yet but it was just suggested as a possible alternative.
Other options may be a Bauer Suburban or Jamis Allegro Sport.
Looking for your suggestions/comments/advice.

I think the reason for the lack of comments is because the subject has probably been talked about many times. If you look at some of the past posts of the same subject line, you will get a ton of great info on there. Good Luck with your search!
