I have a Felt City 3 and recently bent my rear derailleur. The twist is that I ditched the front three gears in favor of a one ring setup though I am not sure if that even matters. Could I get some recommendations for a rear derailleur for a Shimano 8-speed rear cassette, fixed speed front and what appears to be a Shimano Acera shifter? Looking to spend $70-$80 max. I was looking at the Shimano Deore M591 SGS LongCage.


UPDATE: I carried my bike up to the LBS and they were able to bend the hanger and cage back into an acceptable position.

You likely need a new derailleur hanger as well which is frame specific.

You should be able to find shimano Altus also for a good price. It's what's stock in the city 1.

I just got 591 for $49. It harder and harder to get anything 7 or 8 speed.
