Bad Boy 9 tire replacement

Got a 2014 yesterday. My choices came down to a Quick 4 and a Bad Boy. It was a tough choice for me but I went with the BB. It seemed a little quicker and it looks bad azz. I wish the ride was a little cushier though. If I went with more of a hybrid tire would I get a bit of a softer ride? The tires on it are the stock Thickslick. Thanks!

What do you mean by hybrid tyre? Why not ask the shop to swap to something else?

First, realize that with a straight blade alloy fork, you're only going to be able to do so much to improve the ride. Having said that, the first thing I would do is play with the tire pressure and see if lowering it in the front would help. If that doesn't work, then I'd go with 32-35mm tires;Vittoria Randonneurs or Schwalbe Marathon Supremes would be my choices.

new tire, still in the dealer, point-of-sale, it would have been a cheaper swap ,

now you may have to pay full price. go back to the shop and ask what else can I Use

sounds like fatter the better.. is the plan IDK what will fit. they would..

The Kenda Kwik Trax that come on the Quick 4 would be a good choice. (700x32cm) In fact, I ran over about a million things tonight that, I swear, probably should've punctured, but they just deflected off the tire. Very comfortable tire and while I realize that might sacrifice some speed, on nights like tonight, I accept the tradeoff!

Quick 4, ftw!
