Bikes: More bikes than riders
My daughter rides the same basic bike, a Raleigh Alysa. It's the "women's" version of the Cadent, though I'm not sure how and where they differ. I think Raleigh bikes are usually good values, and are sometimes overlooked in favor of the bigger names, like Trek, Giant, Cannondale, Specialized, etc. We've been very happy with her Alysa, and I'd absolutely buy another Raleigh.
