Help Finding Large-Frame Hybrid

Hi,

A friend, who is 6'6", is looking for a bike. His interests seem to point in the direction of a hybrid, which would give him some flexibility, and room to grow. He wants it for short tours, shopping, and general fitness rides.

I'm looking for suggestions on bikes that come in extra large sizes and work for tall people. I'll continue to look on line and in the shops, but your assistance may help him save some time and get him on a bike that he will be happy with.

Thanks

Bikes: With round 700c & 26" wheels

That's not going to be an easy task...Most very tall riders I see around here, have either custom made bike, or a very old/vinatge road bike.
Check craigslist listings...I see bunch of HUGE road bike frames on it every month....like this one .
Specialized is also making XXL frames, so it should be a good size for 6.6 rider. I'm 6.3, and I ride on their XL frames.

Good luck

I saw a YouTube clip where I think the guy was 6'5" and he was riding a Trek 7.2 FX in a size 25.

I'm having the same problem. I'm 6'6" and getting back into cycling after a 10 year hiatus. The hybrids I've found so far that come in larger frames are Trek 7.2 and 7.3 FX (the 7.4 and 7.5 don't for some reason??), Cannondale Quick series, and Specialized crosstrail. The hard part is finding a lbs that stocks the bigger size so you can check fit.

Thanks guys-- Hopefully, one of the bikes mentioned will work. If my friend gets to test ride one of them in the 65 cm size, I'll let you know how it fit.

6'4", more torso/arms than legs, and ride a 22.5" 7.2FX very comfortably.
