New Rider

Hello! I am a new rider from outside Louisville, KY.

I recently purchased my first road bike and am trying hard to get comfortable on it. I am truly a new rider as I'd never ridden a bike with hand brakes or gears before! So it has been a learning experience for sure. I am joining this forum to ask for advice and guidance on a few issues I'm having, as well as get some inspiration!

I promise to pay it forward and help others out as well! (Once i know something worth teaching!) I am excited to get into cycling, but know I have a long way to go before being proficient.

I bought this bike from Bikes Direct. Next stop for me is a fitting, based on the friendly advice I received last night.

welcome to the forum. The fitting is a good idea...then go ride the tires off of it.
