New to Bike Forums
I didn't see an introductions area so I hope this is in the right place.
Hi,
Like my user name says, I don't consider myself a real cyclist, just an average guy on a bike, or actually a few bikes. I ride solo on the road mostly but have ridden in a few Tour de Cures and MS rides. None of my bikes are fancy or expensive, mostly used Treks and Specs. As I said, I ride mostly on the rural paved roads around my home, but dabble in other kinds of riding like gravel backroads and single track trails. The 2.0 is because I recently passed the 50 year old mark and want to kind of reinvent myself, including getting more fit through cycling and other outdoor activities. I spend too much time behind a desk and my health has paid for it and it's time for a change.

i, too, got into better shape via biking in my late forties. Always loved bikes, so I think that that is what makes a real "biker."
Watch out for the roadies and the SS/FG guys....
