Hello from upstate New York
Hi, I have been Bike riding in the New York Hudson valley region for many years. I have a 1983 Trek 720 that I purchased new and still ride. I also have a 2004 Trek 8000 mountain bike but long rides on the road bike is my preference. I used to ride the roads, even some steep mountain roads but now I prefer to stay off the roads and ride the rail trails, I have ridden most in the area. My favorite has been the Mohawk Hudson bikeway and westward connected trails along the old Eire canal. Now we have the Hudson valley rail trail connected to the Dutchess county rail trail via the walkway over the Hudson which is a very nice ride and much closer to home. Back in the mid to late 1970’s I rode the bike path along Interstate 275 in southeast Michigan a lot on a Nishiki International.
