Hello everyone
Hello I'm Jennifer and I basically bought a bike because of a healthier lifestyle I embarked on in 2013.
I discovered the raw food diet and it changed my life, gave me confidence to be independent and travel to South East Asia, where I met hundreds of like minded people and purchased my first road bike, a Trek 1.2.
In hindsight I should have invested in a touring bike, but I like my bike and I named it Barney. I spent November - December in La Palma (Canary Islands), December - January in Bali, January - February in Sabah (Borneo) and March - June in Thailand.
I live in Liverpool in England and I really want to do some wild camping, long distance cycling and discovering places by bicycle.
I have a YouTube channel that I originally started to spread the raw vegan message but nowadays I just make short Vlogs about what I get up to.
I'm hoping I can meet people through this site who are local or at least in England so I can do some camping and long distances to build up my confidence so I can cycle through Europe alone!
I'm very much in the mindset of cheap and cheerful, so I don't want to spend a lot of money travelling and I'm also getting sick of flying so my aims for cycling to mainland Europe are important to me.
If you're local or are feeling friendly I welcome your greetings and appreciate any interest in being my friend!

Welcome Jennifer to Bike Forums. Check out the UK regional subforum to meet local folks and for touring, camping, etc try the Touring forum and for long distance cycling try the Long Distance Competition/Ultracycling, Randonneuring and Endurance Cycling forum. Both are farther down the main Bike Forums page. Most forums (but not all
) are listed in alphabetical order.
Have fun.
