Hello from Indiana
Hi everyone, I'm Jason. I'm 34yo and live in Mishawaka, Indiana.
I came across this forum while searching for something on Google and seemed like a nice place and decided to join. I recently bought a used bike and find myself with some questions but nobody to ask so maybe this is the place to be. I'm somewhat of a dummy when it comes to bikes.
Bike i bought is a 2007 Specialized Hardrock XC mountain bike. The bike is getting a little dated and it does have some wear and tear on it but looking at Specialized website ... the brand new model looks virtually exactly the same except with a newer available paint scheme and slightly different cable routing. I think I got a steal of a deal at $120 for it ... I couldn't pass that up... tho, have never owned a Specialized before.
Anyway, the bikes main use is for commuting as I don't have a car right now. I would be more than thrilled to take it off road to see what it's made of but I can't risk breaking something on it. On a good note - the bike is really light weight and pretty mechanically solid and makes getting around a breeze.

Welcome to Bike Forums. The Spec Hardrock has been very popular for a long time. Lots of folks on here ride one.
The folks in the General Cycling and Commuting forums can answer most of your questions. Have fun.
