Hello from Chile!
Hola riders! I'm Estivalia. I live and ride in Antofagasta, a city in the north of Chile. I currently use my bike mainly for commuting and recreational rides on weekends with the local cycling group.
I started riding mostly because of my partner. He rides everywhere, long or short distance and for everything, so he influenced me into trying to ride to my classes. Back in college I had a steel step through that I loved, I used that bike to run errands and shopping trips too.
I started my first job this past January, which was a bit far from home. During the first months I tried commuting with my old bike, but a 10 mile ride was way too much for it, so I switched to a Trek Skye, which has been better for the ride and now I can go further and faster. I started commuting on my bike once a week on the step through, now it's 2x, and I hope to get to 3x by the end of the year.
Here's a pic of me just about to start my commute back home with my SO.
