Hi from the UK

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to say a big hello to all.
I'm in the process of fixing up my dad's old road bike which had been unfortunately neglected since he stopped riding - lets say that it almost ended up in the scrap yard .

That being said, my intention is to bring it back to its original state where possible (well it seems to have had a number of diy makeovers) - I'm not highly skilled or tooled up for this kind of work and the main driver here to revive the bike is an emotional one. I'm hoping to draw a little (or lots) of help from a friend and the community here to identify and parts etc.

Hope you'll have me and put up with my uninformed questions in the weeks to come

All the best.
