New to cycling!
Greetings all, my name's Brian from lovely Massachusetts! I'm a brand new cyclist with loads of questions, so I stumbled on here for some help
I have always had an interest in cycling, but never made the plunge because I always had other sports occupying my time. Unfortunately, all my other sports came to a screeching halt in June, when I lost my entire leg to cancer. While in rehab, I stumbled into handcycling...literally. I wasn't paying attention while crutching and I tripped over a handbike haha While there I got a chance to try one out and fell in love! After much testing, researching, pacing and selling a kidney so I could afford it, I recently made the plunge and purchased my first handbike!
Since I have always been the type to fully immerse myself in any sport I was involved in, and considering cycling is now my only true means of cardio, I am determined to learn as much as I can. I don't want to be forced to go to the bike shop anytime something breaks, and I want to be able to do my own upgrades, and tweaks, etc. I started off by purchasing a decent mini tool to help get me started, and I can't wait to start collecting the tools for everything else along the way
So...HI, from the Tripod Medic!
