Hello from Houston

Hey All,

Very cool forum. Long time roadie and super average cat 4 racer from the 80's and 90's who woke up this spring from a decade of couch potato syndrome. I'm doing regular 30 mile rides now and down 20 lbs so I'm excited about cycling again.

Those vintage bike sections look like trouble though! I sense my wallet is going to take a hit. Love, love, love the old steel bikes.

I live across Clay road from Bear Creek Park so that is my go to route. You can scrape together a 7 mile loop when the park isn't underwater - which it has been a lot this year. I look forward to doing some group rides soon, but I'm not there yet. Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome to Bikeforums from Kingwood. The vintage bikes are great but you can sink some serious money in them.
