I'm a new member from SE Michigan looking to get back into biking. I literally haven't ridden since 1995. A lot has changed since then. Bike choices, places to ride, components, etc. I'm learning a lot about all this new-to-me-stuff by reading the forums. I'm trying to decide on a bike, and thanks to the people here, my decision will be an informed one.

Welcome fellow Michigander! I'm up in the thumber but I have a forum member friend who's down in Grosse Pointe. If your looking for a bike he may be able to help out as he has a lot of bikes come through his hands and freshens them back up for folks.

I bought a bike at Tree Fort Bikes in Ypsi, for a hundred less than at closer stores.

Hello from another Michigander. Lots of good info on this forum. Best of luck in finding "the" bike.

I've been in there a couple of times. They know the trails and roads I want to ride, so they've been able to recommend a couple of suitable bikes. They've been very helpful and the prices they've quoted me are great. I live about four miles away so it's very local. I'll probably buy there unless something REALLY special pops up somewhere else.
