Glad to join !
Hello all
I am in my 60's. Better late than never they say. My love of bicycling dates from before the internet as it is one of the few sports which I particularly like. I used to pedal 365 km weekends in the 80's , but not any more. I migrated from standard diamond bikes to LWB recumbent about 5 years ago and the new and different thrill of it has kept me in the game, albeit more sedately. I built my own LWB recumbent (I do TIG) as an intro to see if I liked it and I did. Then I got hold of a used Rans Stratus LE and it is fun to use these two bicycles, which have their individual strength and weaknesses. My region is agricultural and relatively flat most of the time and suits a recumbent. Yet, the inevitable knee problems have made me consider converting my home-made to electric pedal assist and so I have embarked in this new adventure. I have decided to join this forum in the hope of benefiting from the wisdom of others which went trough this before me. See you in due time!
