New to Cycling
I live in Seattle and I am excited to start cycling. I don't have a bike yet so I would enjoy any help I can get. I know I am looking for a 56cm, $800ish bike - I'd rather have an older good bike vs a newer not so good bike. If I enjoy it after a year I will spend the thousands needed for a great bike.
I look forward to learning everything I can from you all and this great website.

If possible get someone to help with a basic fitting or learn a lot about it yourself. Being miserable on a non-fitting or improperly adjusted bike makes it hard to get to that really nice 2nd bike. Here is an more in depth fit guide working off more measurements and it walks you thought each step with video's directing you on how to make the measurement. You have to input measurements top to bottom or it won't give you the results IIRC
