I just bought a bike! Electra Townie 7D EQ - Tall. (I'm 6'7".)
I hadn't ridden a bike in 15-20 years but my wife and I went to Hilton Head Island on the SC coast recently and rented bikes for a week. We rode them every day and loved it. I bought her the matching Ladies model. We don't wish to be road warriors, nor are we looking to get into Mountain Biking. But this seems to suit what we're interested in. Riding city trails and mountain back roads, beaches on low tides and long winding trails, that will suit us just fine. Hopefully I'll shed a few pounds along the way! Exercise was a big motivator.
We're in the North GA Mountains so we'll be looking for some relatively flatter surfaces initially. I hear the Silver Comet is a fun one in eastern Georgia.
