Hello
I have been riding for awhile.
I live near LAX and just started to touring using a Surly LHT after riding a road bike (Kestrel 200sci) for a long time. I did the centurion rides in the area and a few on my own in other places. I did some Tri's all distances.
I also own a old Dave Scott Centurion and a wheel assist that I use to get back UP the hill after a day playing VB at the beach. I had never owned or ridden a touring bike until two years ago when I bought a Surly LHT
My first tour was 2 years ago, started at home (Pacific Ocean and went to Dodge City, Ks. I am trying to get to the East coast and had to cut part 2 of the trip short last year due to an achilles issues. I am looking to tour again, this time heading up the Pacific coast maybe in February or March.
I look forward to learning from the cyclist here.
thanks
Rob

Welcome to Bike Forums. If you want to meet local SoCal folks you can find them in the SoCal subforum. I see you've already found the Touring forum. Have fun.

Welcome aboard Rob, sounds like you are a very experienced cyclist. As well as the Touring and SoCal Regional Forums, check in at the Classic and Vintage Forum as well. Plenty of Centurion action there. Great to have you join in with us here.
