Hey Everyone!
New(ish) rider here. I like, many others here, used to "call" myself a runner, though never really got deep into the sport. Mostly just races here and there, and my one 13.1 race. I was given my first road bike this past December by my parents (best Christmas surprise ever!). It's a 2015 Specialized Allez Sport, and I've loved riding it as often as possible since. I've been somewhat lurking on the forums for a little while now, usually when I should be working. Thought it might be time to try and be a little more active. I have to say I'm enjoying the cycling community in Arkansas and online much more than I did the running community, not sure why. Maybe because I'm a guy, and I like expensive, shiny toys. I've added a few upgrades to the bike already after getting fit (shorter stem, Speedplay Zero pedals). I'm really just enjoying getting better at cycling and look forward to continuing longer than running. Knee issues plague the men in my family (and I'm only 28), so hopefully this will be more permanent. Looking forward to everything!
Cheers!

Welcome to Bike Forums. Stop by the Southeast Regional subforum and say hello to the locals. You can find Arkansas folks here and in several other posts about Arkansas rides. Have fun.
