Bonjour from Paris countryside
Hi all,
I'm a 32 year old guy from Paris, France. I've mostly hated bicycles for the biggest part of my life, mainly because riding it in Paris or cities around is something I find to be dangerous as those cities weren't designed for it, ie no bike lanes etc...
A few month ago I rode for a day in Sevilla and had quite a revelation: when biking is safe and has been "thought" in its whole experience, I love it! And it turns out I now live a bit further away from Paris, in suburbs with bike lanes and bike paths all over the place, so I'm starting to have some fun.
I don't know much about bicycles, just bought a city bike at Decathlon to go shopping with it, and am now looking to buy a bit more "fitness oriented" bike to double the fun.
I've learnt a lot reading here so far, so thank you all!
Cheers

Thanks guys, and you're gonna help me practicing my English which is never a bad thing for a Frenchie :-D
RonH, I've yet to decide on my main bike yet. I bought as a second bike an Elops 300 city bike from Decathlon as it is cheap, easy to ride, and girlfriend approved: this is the bike she likes to use when we do small bike trips together. Also I'm not afraid to lock it in front of the supermarket while I buy my groceries, which I may not want to do with a more expensive bike.
I'm seriously looking at the Giant Escape for the main bike, mainly for its versatility, lightweight for its price, and for being in my mind a good balance between a real road bike and a casual city bike.
