Introduction
Hello I am Miller from CT.
I have been on and or around bicycles for longer than I remember, bicycles being my grandfathers business since before I was born.
I have a family now of my own, teaching my young boys all they want to learn about bicycles.
Sadly the family business moved away from bicycle sales and then service about ten years ago after my Aunt took over the business in the mid 90's following my grandfathers passing.
I became the bike mechanic for my grandfather, under his wise tutelage, at age 13(?). This was my second paying job ever, after I realized working two days in the tobacco fields that summer was more than enough. My friends that got me the tobacco job all got fired for throwing dirt bombs at each other under the shade nets LOL!! I learned a skill, and found a passion to this day. Not sure where the buddies all ended up now.
My daily is a late 80's BCA Rocky atb I converted to a short straight bar upright, single chainring with a 7spd cassette and silent clutch.
She's a red rocket and hard to hurt!
The stable consists of many, mostly future restore projects.
The grab and goes; early 70's Flandria, BCA, '69 Humber, 90's GT Performer, 1968/69 Columbia Twosome Tandem single speed.
All others need a thorough and complete tear down and rebuild/restore. The highlights of those many are; late 60's/70's Ladies Schwinn Varsity, two '50's Robin Hood, a 70's Motobecane, late 70's early 80's Carbela(brake wings may indicate 1983) and a 90's(?)Univega atb, Lawson design.
Ya that's a rambler of an intro but you get the skinny of it.
Thank you and I am always learning and happy to be able to still wrench on bicycles and keep a stable of projects like I do!! Due to a very forgiving wife!!!
Oh, I am an avid hiker, camper, backpacker, paddler of canoe and vintage tool nut...primarily plumbing tools and OLD axe/hatchet.

You should start a thread in the C&V Forum for each of your bikes, with lots of pics.
Easy to post pics from your device: Go Advanced, Manage attachments, Browse, Upload.

Great advice how to post pics, that was going to be my first yell for help LOL!!
It would be nice if I posted a pic here but I have some trial and error on the horizon with that skill LOL!!
I hadn't thought of the thread per bicycle but will take some time to take or gather some photos to start that, great idea!!

I can't believe it has taken me all these years to finally search out, read thru and join your forum!!
The wealth of knowledge, building and restoring inspiration I have found in the past few weeks prior to registering has been enormous and at time overwhelming LOL! I love it!
I never claim to know it all and this forum has happily proven to all of us at any level of experience and knowledge, that there is so much more out there to touch, see, read and wrench on!!!
