Long time cyclist
Can't remember when I was without a bike for exercise and leisure enjoyment, now retired and still using for our bike trails here in Fl.
Bought wife an electric assist bike 25 yrs ago, recently replace the lead acid batteries with home built 36 v Li ion pack, bought an electric modified recumbent trike for her to replace bike but she prefers the bike, easier to steer, so I modified by adding electric steering. still didn't like. Next step was to modify for myself by adjusting seat position, steering method and computer console to a visible position, ended up with a problem when the console dock wiring pulled out. Simple but due to lack of info on line started looking for answers here, and other bike forums, ridiculous as it sounds console docking station cost more than the all the bikes I have purchased over the years, prior to buying the electrics.
