Hello from NYC
Hello everyone, and greetings from a NJ transplant living in NYC. I couldn't get my wife out... so I had to go across the river. I'm living up in Harlem. If you happen to be in the area I'm still trying to find a group to join for rides, etc., and generally escaping the city as much as possible. Though I will say that in the 3 years we have been here I have become a lot more comfortable with riding in heavy traffic... or maybe it is just desensitized? If you're up for a ride I would be happy for the company.
If you have any suggestions on NYC cycling groups to check out or events to research within 2-ish hours drive of NYC would be happy to have the suggestions.
That's enough rambling for now.

Welcome from SoCal and check out the regional forums for info on local rides. Also, there are a lot of BF members from the NYC area. A post in the road forum about road cycling in NYC may get some responses.

Hi therks,
I'm getting used to riding in heavy traffic out here in California too.
It's amazing watching those NYC bike messengers, yikes!
