Used to ride my bike everywhere, when I was younger, and lived in California.

Thinking about getting back into it, but reasons of health and environment.

I have concerns about safety. I don' t bounce back from injuries like I used to. Very difficult to find worthwhile bike lanes where I live.

Somewhat thinking about an ebike, but I afraid it would be stolen.

Hi. If you can transport your bike, maybe there's a nice bike path (paved or unpaved) somewhere not too far from you? Unless you're up in the middle of all those 14ers!

Welcome, why not hire a bike for a day or two and see how you get on. Our fears of what things will often be like are almost always unfounded.
