I'm here to introduce myself.
My wife and I are 60+ yo retired engineers and live at the bottom end of NZ.
We also live in the top end of NZ, on a boat.
The boat has a SS Dahon Mu Uno Gates for transportation.
The house has a trek MTB, an Avanti MTB, and an Avanti 700C Alfine 11 Gates. This forum persuaded us (prior to joining) to recently purchase two Downtube 11H's, which we fetched from Raleigh, NC, and toured to the Outer Banks. This tour was cut short by Covid-19.
In addition to the enjoyable NC tour, we have toured much of NZ and also the Mawson Trail in South Australia. We do have a small car but use the bikes every day for whatever we feel like.
I invariably ride my 11H and the 700C, in either order. My wife now exclusively rides the 11H in preference.
I have learned much from the wise contributors to this forum, on many subjects, and appreciate it.
