Hello, I'm getting back into riding after 20 years away. I had a health scare earlier this year and released I need to do less at work and do more for my health. 20 years ago I was a fairly regular mountain bike rider and enjoyed my Trek 4500 (still have it) but now I'm looking for a bit of a smoother ride so I picked up my dad's Bianchi Eros that's been in his basement for years to give road bikes a try. I didn't want to get into this knee deep in purchases until I'm sure I'm going to stick with it.
The highway my neighborhood is off of has dedicated bike lanes in both directions for several miles and my neighborhood itself makes a perfect 1.5 mile loop. That being said getting off my rear end and onto the bike will be my only obstacle, at least once I get used to riding again.
I'm looking forward to getting active again and hope this turns into a fun hobby and even possibly a way to commute to work in the Fall.
