Hello Everyone. I'm a newbie to this forum just trying to get started. However, I've had considerable cycling experience. I've been riding my Trek 850 thousands of miles per year, whether it be training in the hills of central Maine, climbing Cadilac Mountain and cruising the surrounding carriage trails of Acadia National Park, touring Cape Cod, and completing the American Lung Association's Trek Across Maine 13 times. I'm also a member of the Bicycle Coalition of Maine.
I currently live and work in Portland. The heavy traffic and having legal blindness has largely compelled me to bike outside the city. Although I have legal blindness, wearing eyeglasses with a telescope which can fit under my helmet is one of the ways of compensating for my vision loss and making due with the proverbial hand I've been dealt.
Perhaps I could hear from some of you, especially those of you in Maine. I look forward to it

Sorry to hear about your difficulties, but glad to hear you haven't let it stop you.

Thanks for the welcome from so far across the miles, Midgie.
With all due respect, how did the words of wisdom of patriotism and burning the flag get into it?
