Fellow Mississippi rider here. Funny you mention the Chevy's. Full size Chevy and GMC SUVs and pickups are the worst, by far, in my experience. Sutras are super cool bikes. What part of the state are you in?

I don't know what it is about the trucks but they can be pretty obnoxious, especially if driven by teenagers. I live in Florence, it is a struggle to find safe rides around here but am working on that.

I just piddled on some maps looking south of Florence. Rexford Church rd looks great from street view. You never know until you scout it out in person though.
