I have finally signed up after spending quite a lot of time on here, I find most interest in the classic and touring sections with particular interest in the English three speed thread as I own a few.

I was fortunate to spend a few days in the Cornwall and Devon region many years ago, it was during a Christmas holiday when it was cold as all hell in Cambridge where my in laws were on sabbatical from the U.S. We stayed in Lynmouth, St. Ives and Portsmouth as I recall. It was much balmier down that way and beautiful as well. Wonderful section of the UK, though I recall hills and many so I assume that’s what you ride a lot.

Yes I grew up in Lyme Regis which is particularly hilly and developed my legs riding them on a Raleigh 3 speed a bike in its many guises I have a particular liking for, the weather here is normally warmer than the rest of the country but we get a fair bit of rain making it a very green part of the country.Originally Posted by Steve B.
