A great start. As a new member you will find that you have limited privileges until you have made 10 posts divided over 2 days. Many new members complain about this until they realize that it is to protect both the forum and themselves from scurrilous scammers trying to hijack this site. You will be able to see that I have been a member here for quite a long time and I can remember the dark times before this rule was enacted
So welcome. This forum can occasionally become fractious and absurd, but for the most part, serious questions get serious answers
Are there any cycling clubs in your area? Good clubs are invaluable if you want to find people to ride with. I have been a member of a club in my area for 30 years and I was very experienced when I joined. My club has a website with hundreds of maps all over the region where I live, most of which can be downloaded into a GPS bike computer. The yearly calendar for the club has multiple rides every week during the summer here. We have road, gravel and even mountain bike rides
Look around to see if you have a local club

Welcome.

I'm in Issaquah.
Love me a few steel oldies.
Italian is wonderful, ... as are so many others.

Not only does Mr.Wildwood have bikes older than you, he has socks older than you.

Hello Cabrera welcome to the forum.

@BTinNYC can be hyperbolous. :thumb::thumb:

I grow old ..... I grow old .... I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled. (Lovesong of J.A. Prufrock) ts eliot

But if business wear goes formal again, :rolleyes: = I got 3 piece suits, ties, and leather lace-up shoes in abundance for the successful B2B sales/marketing person. :). And hats.

If you are going to be neat - you must start with your feet - and a shoe polish kit par excellence.

to clarify

Welcome, from SE Wisconsin.

Check out the Regional subforums here. Have you looked for your local bike club? I've had a lot more fun with cycling riding in a group.

Enjoy your stay!
