Hello (again) forum!
I registered in 2015 when as an adult, for the first time, I seriously considered a bike as a proper tool for getting around. After much discussion and dabbling, I didn't live up to 19 year old me's ambitions.
Had an account SBcycling and later SB1501 but have been allowed to regain access to my old accounts thanks to the wonderful support on this site!
I am here again as I've ordered a cheap folding bike to wean me off of a car lifestyle... it comes this weekend, looking forward to being more active in the living car free, folding and commuting sections!
Started in 2016 with a Raleigh Edale Hybrid (Halfords bike)... bought a Giant Escape 3 in 2022, didn't use it much, sold it 2024... great bike it was. That Raleigh is still in the shed, rusty as hell but did me well every time I had a taste for some cycling. It was a £200 bike... for nostalgia I'd like to restore it but probably not a good idea for what it would cost, was also a bit of a lump at 16kg..
Glad to be back - are any of you who replied to me back then still active now? Would be great to hear from you all!
