Hello,

Looking to buy my first road bike soon! Currently do a lot of running and swimming. Ready to get a bike so I can complete an Ironman in the near future! Any advice is greatly appreciated.

For your lower joints' sake, I hope you knock off the running after you get triathalons out of your system. Biking & swimming biathalons would be cool. Skiing/shooting biathalons are too, but we haven't got the mountains for it here.

Don’t get caught up in brand names-a properly fitted bike is far more important. Visit a local shop and get a proper bike fitting. It’ll help prevent injury and improve efficiency, especially over long distances.
