Howdy from TX!

Been viewing this great forum as a resource on all things bike, mostly the C&V area

Started riding again about 3 years ago mostly for exercise and started looking for something to replace my second hand throw down aluminum road bike that didn’t fit me anyway. Thought a titanium bike sounded interesting so searched and picked up an early 2000’s Litespeed Tuscany. Saw what a difference there was in a good quality road bike that fit and that’s where it started. And because I like to work on my own, the challenge of searching for and getting an old bike dialed in keeps me entertained. Checks a lot of boxes!

I now own a Litespeed Classic (probably my main ride), and a Serotta Club Special (my first steel bike). I lurk online listings for parts and bikes, the hunt is part of the fun!

I visited Houston a few years ago and biked most of the bayou bike trails.
Also had a nice meal and some good brews at

Saint Arnold Brewing Company

Yes to both! Ride the W Houston bayou trails 2-3 times per week, St Arnold’s not as frequent but do enjoy!

another long time lurker here. Always nice to see new riders introducing themselves. Texas has such a wide range of riding conditions that advice can really vary. This forum is great for easing people into the hobby without gatekeeping. Everyone starts somewhere, after all. I remember juggling bike research while dialing the Zappos phone number for a return. Life overlaps in funny ways. Welcome to the community, and enjoy the ride.
