Bikes: Bikes??? Thought this was social media?!?
Hello Wild Monkey in Japan! Welcome to BikeForums.
On the C&V Forum we get regular views of Mt Fuji - a picture thread = "Where did you ride?"
In USA, the market for used bicycles - both vintage and 'not-too-old' - seems to have taken a dive in price. Good for buyers, bad for sellers. Just wondering if Japan is the same. Rim brakes, tires limited to a max of 28-30mm and 1" headset really hurt the selling price of even high-end classics.
Any opinion appreciated.

Welcome, from Wisconsin, USA. Nice bike you have there. Well set-up for utility riding around Tokyo.
I'd love to visit Japan one day. Seems like a cycling paradise, full of polite people.
Enjoy your stay!

Since the OP may be Japanese, that needs some explaining. Might be too young as well.
There was a pop band in the 1960s called The Monkees, which was trying to capitalize on the Beatles' popularity, and one lyric of one of their popular songs was "people say we monkey around".
It's about 0:15 into their intro song from their TV show here:

Welcome Monkey Magic. I loved the TV series Monkey and the song came straight into my head when I saw your moniker.
LOL, I think you should build a bike from a Trek frame and call it Tripi-Treka!
(In case anyone reading this did not watch the TV series a character in it was called Tripitaka)

Hi awac It's quite possible that we could become friends, if I were over there in Britain 😁 Monkey Magic, monkey magic. The cultural reference, the eye for the bike frame and the suggestion for a Tripitaka Trek /Tripi-Treka build. I'm pretty sure you weren't the only one who recognised the 'Kert' Big Bird as being from Trek spelt backwards, though🤣 I coined the Big Bird from the bars on the bike making it look like an aeroplane....BTW, I like the from each according to their abilities line from Mr Marx, too. Happy riding in the New Forest. Peace 🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️✌️
I always liked that quote from Karl, it's a framework for social interaction that we should all be striving for IMO.
