Hi from Vancouver

Hi, enjoying the forum.
Been back into touring for 5 years now, since the kids have grown and moved on...
Enjoying rolling around BC and Vancouver Island. Usually can only get a 3 to 5 day trip in, but eventually I plan to head east for the cross-Canada trip. Travel self-contained, fully loaded. Lotsa fun! You see so much more from a bike...

Regards
Lou

Hi Lou
Glad to see another Vancouverite (sp)! I also enjoy going to Victoria for the occasional weekend tour. Usually it's credit card touring, fully-loaded is not my thing. Yet. Good luck on the cross Canada trip, that would be an adventure for sure!!
My wife and I just got back from a driving trip to Barkerville and saw several tourers along the way. Uprights and recumbents.
Anyways, welcome to the forums. Have fun!

YEAH, I'm just in Abbotsford, That's cool we are so close, o yeah, you guys get ready for A Snow Covers in your Area, I might build part of it and I might be working in that building next summer. It will be a great job to work off my Rocky Mountian Flow 3.0!!

Welcome
If you are ever looking for riding companion next year for a 3 to 5 day loaded tour ride on the Vancouver Island send me a note. I'm always dreaming of getting out again. If I have a goal like that I would get my body back up to speed instead of these woosie 25 mile rides I 've been doing about South Surrey this year. I'm retired and I need a challenge again.
I did a coast to coast loaded tour in 2003 and I keep saying I'm going to do another tour but somewhat shorter.

Hi Lou

Somehow I lost the first half of my note to you. So here goes. I rode from Ludington, MI into Canada riding the Northern tier route along the Erie Lake. Our first day off was in the Niagra Falls area. into Lake Placid for a second day of rest. We rode through New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and down to Glouster MA. I rode for 3 weeks. The days were long............and hard.

Cycle America Tours were great. Some people, about 44 of them, rode from the start which was Washington State. Each week we would drop people and pick them up so we never had a set amount except the 44 that went all the way.

Hey, Lou.

Another Vancouverite here—one day we're going to RULE the bike forums!—and a tourer of sorts. I cycled from Nanaimo in to Port Alberni last weekend, over the Horne Lake Road. Got to go back and look for one of my lungs up on the mountain there. Enjoy the forums. Good advice and good fun to be had here.
